Aesthetics Committee Update March 2010 |
The 2010 Aesthetics committee enrollment drive is now completed. Those community members that completed the enrollment application instructions will now be interviewed and the committee will be finalized over the next week. As previously announced there will be four committee members plus the committee will be headed up by Clarice Florence. The format of the committee will be on the overall beautification of the community based on project submittals and overall Board approval considering project community merit and available funding. We are also planning on community nominations and awards for the "Front Yard of the Month" for the twelve months of the year. As the seasons change, so will the judging criteria. Keep an eye on the announcements and updates every month on the website. Individual project requests will be submitted to Fairfield through the appropriate website forms. These requests will be evaluated by the committee however final responsibility rests with the Board. Community funds will not be approved for individual project requests however the Board will do it's best to approve your individual or local common ground project. The Aesthetics Committee will not be utilized for an approval of individual requested trees, shrubs, bushes, grass, and projects but rather for general project recommendations and cost evaluations to be presented to the Board for final evaluation and approval. Remember that for the most part we are all responsible for our individual shrubs, trees, bushes, flowers, flower bed, decks, rocks, bricks, etc based on the bylaws of the community. Except for common appearance compliance and proper approval these types of projects are not community projects or costs. The Aesthetics Committee will also be responsible for ensuring overall community compliance with yard and common related matters.

NORTHGATE AESTHETICS COMMITTEE |
This important committee within Northgate is headed up by CLARICE FLORENCE. Clarice is a current Board Member. This committee has the overall responsibility to recommend aesthetic improvements and changes within the community to landscaping, grounds maintenance, bylaw compliance in terms of what is allowed or not allowed in and on the grounds of the community. These recommendations are then evaluated and submitted to the full board for approval based on project merit, bylaw compliance, cost considerations, and other factors that might impact the neighborhood. This committee is not in place to provide individual homeowners with new bushes or trees or plants but rather to maintain a uniformity and general acceptance as to where and what neighbors place on the property. Common areas will be maintained as the Committee and the Board see fit. Over the years it has always been the responsibility of the homeowners to bear the cost to replace shrubs, bushes and trees they would like to replace within their own areas, after receiving approval from the Aesthetics Committee and the full Board. This will continue in the future. If you would like to be considered to be a part of this committee please send an email to northgatenews.net@gmail.com and indicate AESTHETICS COMMITTEE on the subject line. Include your name and contact information and you will be considered for the openings within the committee. This has been a very active and successful Committee over the years and there are already several members on the Committee at this time. |
